Not only were the shows a lot grittier, more realistic and mature, but the theme songs seemed to be as well. Once I got to work on the list, I realized that there may have been more amazing theme songs in the 90s than there were the in 80s, and that is saying a lot. In fact I thought I would originally have to lower it to just the 20 greatest themes.
